Orange and White Wedding Shower

The shower was held at a new venue in Arcadia, OK called Okie Cookies Catering. The owner is extremely nice and works very hard to meet/exceed her clients’ needs. Okie Cookies Catering is actually catering the wedding and the owner offered her new venue space for the shower. It worked out great! The bride is having a shabby chic type wedding, so the bridesmaids wanted the shower to correlate with the wedding style and colors. Guests were welcome by a large sign outside propped onto of a large wooden spool. Once inside, guests could choose from sitting at a long banquet style table or a round table. On the long tables, there were short silver vases wrapped with orange ribbon and pearls filled with orange hydrangeas. Between each vase, were pearl strands bunched together with a tealight candle in a glass holder in the middle, and orange flower petals were spread down the table as well. The round tables had tall silver candle holders with pillar candles on top that had the same orange ribbon and pearls wrapped around them. There was also an orange peony in the middle of the candle. The bride’s chair was decorated with orange and white tulle with a lace “Bride To Be” sash draped across. Okie Cookies supplied the tables, chairs, tablecloths, buffet serving equipment, and even made cupcakes, brownies, and cookies! The shower was in the afternoon, so finger foods were served. There were turkey slider sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches, spinach artichoke dip, fruit kabobs, and two different kinds of punch (one alcoholic and one not). When guests entered the first game started while they mingled and took pictures. The game was called “Put a Ring on It”. There were rings hidden throughout the space, and the guest to find the most by the time presents were opened won. Once the bride arrived, the food was served! As everyone was finishing up, the second game began. This was a “How Well Do You Know the Bride” game. The third game was the “Toilet Paper Wedding Dress” game. There were MANY laughs and a LOT of creativity for this one! The fourth game was called “The Receiving Line”. You will have to look that one up! It was very messy, but still very fun! After all of the games, it was present time! The bride gave a heartfelt speech and thanked everyone for celebrating this wonderful time in her life. Everyone took individual pictures with the bride using the “polaroid” picture frame cutout and left with their favors- small tulle wrapped bottles of wine! There was great food, lots of fun, games, prizes, and wine! Everything you need for a great time with the girls!  –btw, unfortunately in the pictures below, I was unable to get a picture of the finished décor and food table. You just have to use your imagination 🙂
